Music You Need to Listen To: Common Sense by J Hus

If you didn’t know who J Hus was before, you better sit down and take notice.

The British artist released his highly anticipated major label debut on Friday. J Hus established himself over the past few years with a slew of singles and a successful mixtape, The 15th Day.

J Hus follows a wave of British talent that is getting increased attention in the United States. The British grime scene has gained prominence aided by Drake’s collaborations with Skepta, Giggs and Sampha.

J Hus is a little different though.

His sound is a clever blend of afrobeats, rap and dancehall, which is an early indicator of his versatility as an artist.

Standout Tracks:

  1. “Did You See”
  1. “Mash Up”
  1. “Spirit”
